Ave of Lourdes – parental involvement

Once again a successful venture.  Thanks to all those who participated and those who would have liked to join us but could not make it.

The idea for today’s creative activity sprouted up from the children’s interest when we read the story of Lourdes.  Even since, every morning we say a decade of the rosary – which the children really look forward to.

For those who did not attend today, our masterpiece is made out of a niche for the Holy Mary made up of scrunched up newspapers, Holy Mary who is decorated with tissue paper, lovely decorative flowers made out of paper plates and wool, a rosary bead created with a variety of coloured beads plus a plant garden made out of cactus.  Everybody from the children to the adults giving in a hand, put in all their effort to complete this masterpiece.  At one point, while the children were out in the playground, the parents enjoyed themselves finishing off the flowers.  It was a pleasure to see them so contented.🙂

A big well done to you all and may the blessed virgin shine on you always.

  1. Thank you once again for another wonderful opportunity to see our kids at work and for us to work with them. The activity was extremely well organized and both parents and children enjoyed it. Well done and keep up the good work.
