Maths session – splitting up between 2, 3, etc…

THis week we are revising splitting up an amount between a given number.  This morning we had an amount of seashells which we needed to split up on sand castles.  The important factor in this is that what amount we give to the first ‘castle’ we have to give to the 2nd, 3rd and others as well.  If we do not word onw objwct per one item at a time it is easy to get mixed up especially when the items to split amongst are more than 2.  This is a simple form of division.
