One of the concept tackled during our Math session this week was finding numbers which add to the same value. This was an extension to the concept covered last week where the children had to realize that 2+4= is the same as 4+2=
The activity this week started off with the children have a number of props which corrisponded with a number card. They then had to find different ways to split up these blocks, buttons etc, always keeping the same total. The children worked in groups to achieve this, then they had a worksheet to work on the same lines.
