Another activity which linked with Healthy and Unhealthy FOOd was the Food Traffic lights. Here the children had to sort out through a variety of wrappers those items which are healthy and we can eat a lot of – Green light, items which are good but not to be eaten everyday (such as pasta) – orange light, and items which should only be eaten occasionally – red light.
It was a very interesting activity. The children studied the items and discussed in which category they fell. Although, most of the children wanted to stick chocolates and sweets on the Green light, since these are items that they liked, they realized that they are not good for their health and therefore relegated them to the red light.
