The magic ‘e’

You might have noticed that the children are waving a pretend magic wand when reading certain words.  If you look closely you will notice that these words end with an ‘e’.  This is the magic ‘e’.  This week the children have been learning how an ‘e’ at the end of a word ‘casts a spell’ on the other vowel in the word.  We had some fun sounding out words, some of them which dont even exist then wave our magic wands to cast a spell on the vowel when we add a magic ‘e’ at the end of the word.  Here are a few examples.  Try and find more and cast your spell, then tell us about them……  Go ahead Wizards!!!!
