Paper plate animals

Linking our creative activity with ANIMALS, today was the turn to use paper plates and turn them into Animals.  Needless to say, the children were very excited.  First we looked at the shapes of the plates.  There were round plates, domed plates and oval plates.  These gave us ideas as to what the plates could be turned to.  The children were encouraged to use their imagination to create an animal that would adapt to their plate and then utilize the media available to decorate and make it look like the animal in their imagination.  They had lots of different fabrics, card, pompoms, goggle eyes, string, buttons and sequence to choose from.

Have a look at their creative work and in the coming days you will see them on display on our display walls.  Well done to all 🙂
