Maltese stories and vocabulary

 Kif intom?  Il-bierah vera hadt gost bil-lezjoni tal-Malti u vera ghaggibtuni kemm kontu tafu vokabolarju bil-Malti u kemm kontu bravi meta ghamilna dak l-ezercizzju : biex jibdew dawn il-kliem.  Bravi hafna.  Din il-gimgha nkompli b’ittri godda.  Arawhom hawn taht u aqraw l-istejjer taghhom.

h(b’rasha maqtugha): Meta Henri jhoss hafna bard jaghmel idejh quddiem halqu u jonfoh.

v: Victor mela’ l-vazun bil-vjola.

 

Vokabolarju ma dawn l-ittri hu:

h(b’rasha maqtugha): habel (rope), haxix (grass), huta (fish), hajt (wall), hmar (donkey), helu (sweets), halib (milk), hobz (bread), hanzir (pig), hamiema (pigeon), haruf (lamb)

r rota (bike or wheel), ragel (man), riga (ruler), radju (radio), regina (queen), ras (head), rixa (feather),re (king)

v volpi (fox), vaska (pond), vulkan (volcano), vara (statue), vazun (vase), vapur (ship), vit (tap), vjola (purple or a violet flower)

Children I know you are enjoying our Maltese sessions a lot.  Most of you check the stories of the week and know them before I even introduce them in class.  Well done;-)  Your vocabulary is building up rapidly as well.  Keep it up and if you find an interesting word with our letters of the week – post it down for us in this blog…..
