Jnr 1C – Sock Puppets

As part of our sub topic – ‘toys’, the Jnr 1C made some sock puppets.  Using different media such as buttons, ribbon, wooden or foam shapes – the children transformed ‘old’ socks into a ‘toy’.  It was so much FUN making it.  Some puppets started ‘talking’ and ‘acting out’ even before they had eyes or mouths.  Some children waited till they had finished to decide on naming their puppet or using it to act out.  Surprising enough, each child changed his/her voice when using the puppet to talk.  They were not given any instructions except you can now use your puppet!!

Well done Junior 1C.  It was FUN watching you make your puppets and more FUN when you brought them to live.  You will find your puppets in class when you come back on Wednesday.  In the meantime have a look at the photos. 🙂
